Anita Talks Genealogy is a Genealogy Talk Show Hosted by Anita Wills. The show airs on Blog Talk Radio on Friday and Tuesday, 7:00 pm (pst). Each week the Host discusses a Genealogy Topic of Interest to African Americans. Not to worry, there are general historical topics and shows geared to those of Native American Ancestry and the general public. Each show is a glimpse into the lives of those who formed The America's before and After Columbus arrived.

Ms. Wills has over thirty years of researching and documenting Genealogical and Historical Information. She is the Author of two books, Notes and Documents of Free Persons of Color, and Pieces of the Quilt: The Mosaic of An African American Family.

DreamScape by Artist Nancy Gershman

Chicago-based digital artist Nancy Gershman is a meaning-maker and private mythologist specializing in legacy portraiture. Using photographs, memories, family lore and genealogical history, her custom fine art photo-montages tell a story about the whole person a) by remixing and re-purposing photos to reveal truth and beauty that offsets loss and regrets and b) by augmenting the scene with historical imagery that stands in for scenes  for which there are no photos.

Ms. Gershman is a third generation painter. Unlike her Viennese father and grandmother, she is the first to dip into a digital tool box, and the first to do Art For Your Sake, and not my own. She opened Art For Your Sake in 2004 as a mecca for shutter-buggers seeking that One Perfect Photo, and found that your photos just floor me ..,


She was previously in advertising, and in some sense, is still in advertising, suspending disbelief and turning things on their head. Only this time, she is doing it in the service of comfort and joy.

The Interview will be a blend of Ms. Gershmans, Artistry and how it relates to Genealogy.    Aptly called "Healing Dreamscapes," her photo-montages look like a snapshot from a dream.
